Frequently Asked Questions
From 8 years old through college. Whether your kid is just starting organized sports or already being recruited, NXTSTAT builds a baseline and tracks progress year over year. The earlier they start, the more data you have to show growth — and the more benchmarks you can stack them against (NBA, WNBA, D1 athletes, and players in their graduating class across the country).
For clubs and schools: we can test your entire youth program, 8 to 18+, giving every athlete in your organization a professional-grade profile that sets you apart from every other program in your market.
We built NXTSTAT specifically so cost isn't a barrier. Pricing starts around $150 per player per test — that's a full sports science evaluation with measurable, actionable data. For perspective, that's comparable to a pair of game shoes for data that can shape an athlete's entire trajectory.
If finances are tight for a player on a team, we offer scholarships and payment options. Just ask your club director or reach out to us directly. No athlete should miss out on knowing where they stand.
Three reasons that stack:
Actionable results. Sports science doesn't just tell you how you jump — it tells you what to fix to jump higher. That's the difference between guessing at training and knowing exactly what to work on.
A single profile you own. One place for your entire athletic history — test results, growth metrics, improvements over time. Share it with coaches, trainers, or college recruiters. No more "trust me, coach." Now you show them.
You get discovered. College coaches and scouts use NXTSTAT to find athletes who fit their programs — by position, by metrics, by potential. Every test result and every benchmark comparison (NBA, WNBA, D1, your graduating class) makes your profile more valuable to the people who matter and reaching your goals.
Totally normal question — and the answer is easier than you think. It's not a workout, it's not stressful, and for a team of 10 players it takes about 10 minutes total.
Here's what happens:
- Warm up — standard, nothing crazy
- Body measurements — height, weight, wingspan, hand size, foot size. This is where you start seeing what your frame actually gives you
- Three jumps on a force plate — that's it. You stand on a flat platform, jump three times the same way, and the technology captures hundreds of data points from each jump. It takes seconds.
The platform measures things the human eye can't see: how much force you generate, whether you're stronger on one leg, where your power actually comes from. Then we translate all of that into simple, usable numbers you can compare against NBA players, D1 athletes, and other kids your age.
No sweat. No stress. Just data that actually helps.
For club directors and ADs: we bring all the equipment, set up the stations, and run the testing. Your coaches don't need to do anything except tell players when to show up.
Ideally twice per year, minimum once per year — spring/summer season and fall/winter season works great for most athletes. That gives you a real before-and-after picture: Did the training work? Where did you gain? Where are you plateauing?
Testing twice a year builds an intelligent progress report that shows colleges and scouts you're serious about your development. And every result adds to your benchmark comparisons — how you stack up against NBA/WNBA/D1 athletes and your peers.
Parents: If your athlete gets injured, test them before they return to play. The data tells you (and their trainers) when they're actually ready, not when they feel ready. We have case studies we can share with you.
For clubs: regular testing each year gives you a retention tool, a recruiting differentiator, and a way to prove your program's results with real numbers.
Great — we want your health professional in the loop. Send them to our resources page or have them reach out through our contact form. Our team would love to collaborate directly with them to make sure you're getting the full picture.
"Create Sharable Link" option: You can share your exam data directly with your health professional by clicking on the link in the top right hand corner of your "exam results" page. Follow those instructions.
Testing schedules are managed by your sports club or school or event operator — they coordinate directly with us. Contact them first to find the next available session.
Our model is built on making sports science accessible to everyone, which means we focus on group testing through clubs, schools, teams, and event providers. That's how we keep pricing affordable — $150 per player instead of $1,000+.
We will offer upgrade options for more frequent testing in the future, but those will still be small group sessions to keep costs down.
Bottom line: if your club or school doesn't offer NXTSTAT yet, tell them about us. We'll come to them.
Before. Your profile must be completed before testing day — this is how we open your account, link your results, and get your reports published. Without it, we can't deliver your results.
Parents/guardians of players under 18 need to complete the profile. It takes just a few minutes and saves a lot of headaches on test day.
Your results stay with you — always. Your athlete profile is yours, not the club's. You'll have full access to every past test, every benchmark comparison, and your entire athletic history.
If your new club or school doesn't partner with NXTSTAT yet, you have two options:
Stay with a program that uses NXTSTAT (it's a sign they invest in player development)
Introduce us to your new program — we'd love to serve them too
